Rest & Renewal

Costa Rica, 2027

The retreats

Two experiences, both held at Aves in the hills above Montezuma. Each one is trauma-informed, unhurried, and built around safety rather than intensity.

An honest note

This may not be the right fit if

We say this plainly because protecting the safety of the group matters to us. If any of it describes where you are right now, that is not a judgement. It may simply mean this is not the right week for you, or that a different kind of support would serve you better.

  • You are hoping someone will fix you, or expecting a quick cure.
  • You are unwilling to engage respectfully within a shared community setting.
  • You consistently display behaviours that demonstrate a significant lack of empathy or intentionally cause harm to others.
  • You are currently experiencing active psychosis or another acute mental health crisis that requires specialised clinical support.
  • You are looking for an intensive therapeutic intervention rather than a restorative retreat experience.

Our retreats are designed to complement professional mental health care, not to replace it.
